Thus we will begin our walk on the South Bank, not far from the Globe Theatre, the modern reconstruction of the playhouse where many of Shakespeare's plays were premiered. Starting here, on the banks of the Thames, takes us back to a time when the theater was a public arena, when plays were a part of everyday life. At the same time, as we explore the surrounding area, we will discover why the theater was feared for so long that it was banished across the river, to this dangerous and dissolute area that was then well outside the city walls.

London Theater Tour

Crossing the river, we will find ourselves transported two centuries forward, to an era when two great royal theaters, Drury Lane and Covent Garden, dominated London's social life. We will explore one of these theaters, both of which have a two-hundred-year legacy, and talk about a few of the legendary performances that gripped audiences in a way that no star could match today. However, as we walk around the area and uncover its history, we will also discover how strong the prejudices were that theaterfolk had to overcome: Both of these historic theaters were situated on the edge of desperate slums, in the midst of an infamous district of market stalls and bagnios that were infiltrated nightly by the demi-monde.

We begin by looking into the history of the City of London and how the borders around the city proper eventually led to fascinating and diverse neighborhoods living in the shadows of the wealthy aristocrats nearby. As we wind through some of the smaller back streets—the same ones that old traders and merchants once passed through—we’ll witness how these streets went through eras of radial change.

The Impact of Immigration

We will also focus on the immigrant communities that shaped this exact area. During this 3-hour London Slavery Tour, we will look at how Britain's involvement in the slave trade, starting in the 1500s, remained for centuries the basis of the economic success of the empire. We'll learn how profits gained from human trafficking helped support the expansion of the British Empire as well as the Industrial Revolution. We'll also consider how a combination of economic interests, political changes, and humanitarian struggles changed the role of London from enforcer of the trade to beacon in the fight against the commerce of human beings. We'll analyze the importance of cases like the 1772 ruling that began the long road towards the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade.

On The Walk

Our walk begins at Guildhall, site of the trial for the Zong massacre, the first legal case in Britain involving a slave ship. From here we'll proceed to St. Mary Woolnoth where John Newton, who wrote the words to Amazing Grace and had been a slave ship captain, was rector. Continuing along the streets of the city we'll discuss the importance of the coffee houses as places where traders would conduct business, as well as religious halls where Abolitionist meetings were held.

Depart London and start your journey to the first destination, Cambridge situated on the River cam, houses one of the most prestigious universities in the world - where Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, CS Lewis between others, studied! Start a 45-minutes walking tour, this will finish right in the centre where you will be able to access its many colleges and quirky shops.

As we round the sharpest bend on the river, we pass Royal Windsor Racecourse with its famous Monday night schedule of horse racing. It is the only racecourse in the UK to be located on its own island. The boat cruises past “Athens” where Eton schoolboys used to swim in days of old. There is lots of wildlife to see along the way including kingfishers and herons all of which enjoy the tranquil conditions between Athens and the turn around point of Boveney Lock and Weir. Boveney is the 8th Lock of the Thames upstream of London and you are likely to see boats negotiating the lock as they are raised to the upper level of the Thames beyond, a height of about 4 feet.

As you will arrive back at Windsor 40 minutes after departure you are afforded a totally breathtaking and imposing view of Windsor on front of you so be sure to have your camera ready.

Day 11, Amsterdam to Brussels

Visit the best sights of the West country and the nearby town of Windsor. Including a guided tour of the city of Windsor and free time, guided tour of the city of Bath and its main attractions such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and more. Finally, enter the 6000+ years old monument, Stonehenge, a UNESCO Heritage site (includes entrance) which also includes an audio-tour of the site. You will have free time at each place visited. Day 1:
After being introduced to your tour guide, depart during the evening and take the Eurotunnel or ferry to Calais, France. Travel by executive coach with comfortable reclining seats, toilet and full entertainment system. Day 2:
Arrive early in the morning in the centre of Amsterdam. Your guide will take you on a walking tour, showing you the main shopping areas and main attractions.Stop by the floating flower market and then continue on to the museums, galleries, the “IAmsterdam” sign and more. You will have free time for shopping during the afternoon and in the evening, join an optional canal cruise for one hour. Day 3:
After a full continental breakfast, provided at the hotel, start an optional tour of Zaanse Schans, a traditional Dutch village outside of Amsterdam. Here you will witness how the famous “Clogs” - wooden shoes and Dutch cheeses - Edam and Gouda are made. You can also try a known drink in the Netherlands called Ambrosia - a sherry made with honey. If you decide not to go no the optional tour, you can stay at the hotel until the pick you up at midday.Later on, head towards Bruges, where you have a walking tour which includes all the main attractions followed by free time to try their delicious chocolates and variety of beers. Stop in the pretty Cotswold village of Bourton-On-The-Water — known locally as the Venice of the Cotswolds — and enjoy an hour’s free time to explore at your leisure. Afterward, continue onward to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a beautiful town famed as the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

During your stop in Stratford-Upon-Avon, discover the many buildings associated with Shakespeare during some free time. Then, enjoy a snack in one of the many great local eateries (own expense).

After your visit to Leeds Castle you'll take a 45 minute drive to Canterbury where you'll have time to explore and have some lunch. Whilst small, Canterbury is truly a beautiful city and well worth a visit. Always busy and full of energy but with a village feel. Canterbury Cathedral is truly breathtaking with its medieval history dating back to 597AD. The Cathedral offers a private guided tour (own expense) which we can arrange for you. Day 1:

Day 2:
After breakfast (included), explore more of the Cotswolds. Visit Bibury, a village that typifies the region’; Stow-on-the Wold, a small market town; and Bampton, better known as Downton Village where scenes from the hit Downton Abbey TV series are filmed.

Last but not least, make your way to Oxford and discover the charming college courtyards and winding alleys. Harry Potter fans may recognize a few places used in the films!

Back in the 16th century, none of the inhabitants of Stratford-upon-Avon thought that their sleepy village would one day become one of the most important tourist attractions in the UK, but William Shakespeare, who was born there, certainly changed that. This famous town is the first stop of your 5-day tour from London to the heart of England. You’ll also visit Shrewsbury, where you’ll stay for two nights and York where you will spend two further nights in a 3-star guesthouse or 3-star hotel.

On your second day, visit Wales and the beautiful castle of Conwy. Continue through Snowdonia National Park, home to the highest mountain in Wales, and then visit the small spa village of Trefriw plus Llanberis, a favorite destination for lovers of the great outdoord.

From London, your five-day Devon and Cornwall tour begins with a relaxing drive through Wessex on your way to the famous stone circle of Stonehenge – your first stop on the tour. On Day 1, you’ll also visit the South Devon coast, where a stunning landscape awaits you, and Exeter, where you’ll stay for two nights in your choice of a three-star bed and breakfast or three-star hotel.

Departing at 09.15am from the Greenline Coach Terminal, you head north west out of London, passing close to Pinewood Film Studios and through the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The picturesque countryside here is stunning and has inspired the television shows, Midsummer Murder and Vicar of Dibley.

Your first stop is Oxford, where you have time to explore the beautiful listed buildings. Explore the precincts of the many colleges, climb one of the vantage points to take in the skyline, or see the art and antiquities collections in the Ashmolean Museum. The choice is yours.

We then spend the afternoon touring the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds, with their tiny ironstone cottages that have remained unchanged for centuries.

We’ll visit Bampton, a village with a long association with traditional Morris Dancing. You can explore the magnificent parish church of St Mary, where many iconic scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed.

Our next stop is in Burford, the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. It’s a small market town with enormous character and a huge history. The main street is lined with gorgeously quaint cottages and properties.

You have time to take in the local charm and hospitality; and if you’re thirsty you could have a traditional English ‘Afternoon Tea’ . Finally, you make the short journey to Bibury, described by William Morris as the prettiest village in England, and the place that Henry T Ford wished to dismantle and ship back to the USA.

Here we have time to stroll past the famous and fairytale-like Arlington Row. After a full day exploring the city of Oxford and the villages of the Cotswolds we’ll embark on the comfortable return journey to London. We aim to return at approximately 7pm.

Meet at 9am for your departure at 9:15am from the Greenline Coach Terminal, on an air-conditioned coach, you will head west out of London through the county of Wiltshire to our first stop of the day, the ancient Roman Spa town of Bath.

This city has been inhabited for around 2000 years. There’s Roman baths, Georgian architecture, and a gorgeous abbey to see. It’s a fascinating town to explore, so you'll have plenty of time to wander around at your own pace.

After lunch, you'll travel deeper into rural Wiltshire to Lacock village, famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings, and role as a television and film location. With your local, professional guide, you'll learn about, Abbey, in the heart of the village has its own woodland grounds, and is a quirky country house of fascinating architectural styles.

Your final stop of the day is at the pretty village of Avebury. Here you can wander amidst the largest prehistoric stone circle in the world. You return to London in the early evening, approximately 7:30pm, then dropped off at your original departure point..

Hop aboard your coach in central London in the morning, then relax on route out of the city to the UNESCO–listed site of Stonehenge. Located in the pretty English county of Wiltshire, Stonehenge is considered by many to be among the world’s most impressive prehistoric sites.

On arrival, enjoy a 1.5-hour tour with your audio guide and admire this ancient monument up-close. Gain insight into the site’s fascinating history and perhaps come to your own conclusions on the origins of the ancient rock formations.

Travel onward to the Somerset city of Bath and follow your guide on a walking tour through the UNESCO–listed Georgian streets. Along the way, take in top attractions such as Bath Abbey, Bath Circus, the Jane Austen Centre, and the beautiful Royal Crescent, and learn of Bath’s interesting history.

When your time in Bath comes to an end, return in comfort to central London to conclude your tour.

Depart London in the evening and relax on route to UNESCO–listed Edinburgh. Follow your guide on a walking tour and enjoy free time to explore top attractions such as Edinburgh Castle at your leisure. The following day, take an optional Highlands tour (own expense) and visit a local whisky distillery, or explore Edinburgh at your own pace. With executive coach travel and breakfasts at your hotel included, relax and explore with ease.

Travel overnight on the Friday to the wonderful city of Paris by coach and ferry. Depart from Dover in the early hours of the morning, on arrival in France please note that you will have to put your watches forward by one hour. From Calais the journey to Paris will take about 4 hours, there will be a breakfast stop on the outskirts of the city where you will also be able to freshen up.

On arrival in Paris begin the day at the Notre Dame, which you will have time to visit and from here take a sightseeing tour boat along the River Seine (own expense, approximately €10) – the perfect way to begin your day in Paris. To book the River Seine boat trip please pay the guide on the bus before arrival in Paris.

It is a short walk from here to the Louvre Museum, where you can take lunch and visit this historic museum ( entry at own expense), if you are lucky enough to be under 18 then the entrance is free or about €10 for adults. At the museum there is a large underground restaurant complex with foods from around the world, the cost of the food here is very reasonable compared to the more expensive places in the street close to the museum. During the afternoon you will have time to stroll along the Champs Elysees and visit the Eiffel Tower (own expense, up to €15 for ticket to the top) before meeting for hotel check in.

You can join the evening illuminations tour Saturday evening – beginning with a visit to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur in the famous artists quarter with its magnificent views over Paris and quaint streets and café’s to Pigalle and the Moulin Rouge, followed by an evening illuminations tour with a stop at the Trocadero to see the Eiffel Tower light show before returning to the hotel late evening.

After breakfast on the Sunday depart Paris to Versailles where there is a traditional French Sunday Market, shops and cafes and sights to see and you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Chateau of King Louis XIV and the magnificent Gardens (tickets to visit the Palace and Gardens can be purchased on arrival, €18 but are free to under 18’s with ID, Garden only 8 Euro). The coach will depart from Versailles for the return journey to the UK. Arrival back in London home will be late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Please Note: The supplier will always try to get you back to London in time for the last Tube, sometimes this will not be the case and you will have to arrange other means of transport such as night buses or taxi.

Hop aboard your air-conditioned coach or train at King’s Cross station in central London in the morning, then take your seat for the onward journey through the English countryside to Cambridge. Home to one of the oldest universities in the world, Cambridge boasts a colorful history dating back over 800 years.

On arrival, follow your guide on a 1-hour walking tour and discover top attractions such as the Bridge of Sighs, Queen’s College, and Trinity College. Along the way, admire the medieval churches, museums, and parks for which Cambridge is famous and gain insight into Cambridge’s rich heritage.

When your walking tour comes to an end, enjoy four hours’ free time to explore further at your leisure. Perhaps pop in to The Eagle pub for lunch (own expense), then take a walk on Parker’s Piece — widely considered among Cambridge’s most attractive open spaces.

Alternatively, rent a punt (own expense) and travel in style along the pretty Cam River for panoramic views along the backs of the ancient university buildings. When your time in Cambridge comes to an end, return in comfort to King’s Cross station in London to conclude your tour.

The ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ is home to one of the most famous and oldest universities in the world. For over 800 years it has been a home to royalty and scholars although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years. Its beautiful architecture, museums and young student population make the city a wonderful place to visit at any time of year. Even though Oxford is a very cosmopolitan city, it is dominated by its ancient university, with each college having its own sense of identity. With its mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty for the visitor to do.

If you are a keen photographer, or you just like seeing things from a different angle, then why not climb the 13th century tower of St. Mary the Virgin Church opposite the Radcliffe Camera. The church is known as the university church and is the oldest building associated with the university, for a small fee you can climb the steps of the tower for wonderful views of the college buildings.

Oxford has a great collection of museums; The Museum of the History of Science contains scientific instruments from medieval times up to the modern day. The Pitt-Rivers Museum houses the university’s archaeological and anthropological collections. The University Museum is the museum of natural history; it is situated next door to the Pitt-Rivers Museum.

Saturday: Early morning departure by coach with pick ups on the way to Liverpool where you will arrive early afternoon. A refreshment/ lunch stop will be made on the journey.

On arrival in Liverpool you can join the guide for a walking tour of the city made famous by the Beatles. You will have the opportunity to stop at Penny Lane, visit the Cavern Club on Mathew Street as well as visit the award winning Beatles Story Exhibition to learn about the life, times and music of the ‘Fab Four’ (Admission £12 payable to the guide in advance).

There will also be the opportunity to visit Liverpool Cathedral and the excellent Maritime Museum (Titanic Exhibition) at the Albert Dock which is free to enter. It is recommended to get some dinner in the city before departing in the evening to make your way to the hotel on the outskirts of Manchester.

Sunday: After breakfast at the hotel the day will be spent in Manchester. As well as a visit to the city centre you can also take the opportunity to visit Old Trafford, home of Manchester United Football Club. The Stadium tour price is £18, payable to the guide on the weekend (limited spaces apply). For those who are not interested in the Stadium Tour, they can visit something else, for example the Imperial War Museum.

Departure from Manchester will be late afternoon with arrival at your original point of departure late on Sunday evening.

After meeting at your central London meeting point, travel by luxury air-conditioned coach to Stonehenge (included). Meet your expert guide in London and set off by coach to the historic city of Oxford, approximately a 1.5-hour drive away. As you travel, your guide will keep you entertained with stories about this must-visit city, home to the world-famous Oxford University.

The colleges that make up Oxford University represent the city’s architectural highlights, and you’ll explore these during a comprehensive walking tour. Wander through ornate chapels, lavish libraries and spacious halls.

After visiting Bamtpon, head south to Highclere Castle in Hampshire. Famous as the filming location for the hit TV series Downton Abbey, the stately castle dates to the Victorian era and is set in the middle of 1,000 acres (405 hectares) of stunning parkland.

With your guide, tour this incredible castle and see rooms frequented by the likes of Lady Mary, Cousin Matthew, Lord Grantham and other characters in the popular Edwardian drama. Venture through the magnificent main hall, library and sitting rooms, and learn about the real-life family — the Carnarvons — who lived in the castle since the 17th century.

After an early start, you'll visit Windsor Castle, where more than 900 years of royal history await. Walk through the magnificent grounds and explore the State Apartments. If you're lucky you may catch the official Changing of the Guard or soak up the splendor of St. George's Chapel. After your visit to Windsor, you'll take a drive through Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta.

Next, immerse yourself in the lavishly furnished rooms from the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace! The palace hosts many official events and receptions held by the Queen, so areas are exclusively opened for limited time only during the summer so book early!

Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837, and today it is the Queen's official residence. Take the audio tour and learn about the royal history. Your visit is independent and will conclude here so you can explore at leisure.

Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration

This spectacular exhibition shows the many ways in which diamonds have been used by British monarchs over the last 200 years. It includes a number of The Queen’s personal jewels - those inherited by Her Majesty or acquired during her reign. The exhibition reveals how many of these extraordinary stones have undergone a number of transformations, having been re-cut or incorporated into new settings during their fascinating history.

Start the day from Victoria Coach Station in Windsor with a visit to the largest occupied castle in the world, Windsor Castle. Its colorful history spans over 900 years, from William the Conqueror in the 11th Century to its current status as the Official Residence of Her Majesty the Queen. This is a wonderful opportunity to marvel at the splendor of the 15th century St.George’s Chapel and explore the superb and unrivaled State Apartments, which include the lavishly furnished White, Green and Crimson Drawing Rooms.

From Windsor Castle, head to one of the most famous of all prehistoric monuments, the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge. Built in 3 stages from approximately 3000BC, Stonehenge stands alone in the vast empty tract of Salisbury Plain. Shrouded in mystery, the huge Sarsen Stones tend to throw up more questions than answers, such as who were the builders? What was this vast collection of Stones intended for? Was it an observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or perhaps an elaborate cemetery?

There will be plenty of time at your disposal to visit the brand new Visitor Center, which opened in December 2013, with its mixture of permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Then proceed to the second UNESCO World Heritage Site on the tour, the city of Bath, where the Romans developed thermal pools from the area’s hot sulfurous waters nearly 2000 years ago. Your tour includes entry to the Roman Baths Complex. At the heart of the site is the King’s Bath, site of the ancient Sacred Spring. See the Great Temple to the Goddess Sulis Minerva, the Roman Bath House and the museum, while the view from the Terrace offers unmissable photo opportunities.

At tour's end you will be transferred back to Windsor's Vauxhall Bridge Road, near Victoria Station.

A bustling market town since the Middle Ages, Chester continues to offer the best in shopping opportunities, and the unique Rows galleries offer a literally different level of retail therapy.

As well as stores at street level there’s an upper tier of shops sheltered from the elements, offering a perfect vantage point for people watchers. Check out too the ancient cellars below street level, where bars and restaurants flourish – and look out for the oldest shopping façade in England, on Bridge Street.

There’s time to visit the majestic 1,000 year old Chester Cathedral, with its fine collection of Medieval carvings, enjoy the black and white Victorian architecture of Northgate, and make an obligatory photo stop at the Eastgate Clock, probably the most iconic clock in England after Big Ben, built to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897.

Your train from Chester departs at 17:35 and returns to London at 19:40.

Take a day trip by train to the historic port city of Liverpool, a vibrant place of culture and heritage and a must-see destination for music lovers and football fans from all over the world.

Depart from Euston Station at 8am, and head to the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront on your arrival at Lime Street Station. Make sure to check out the Royal Liver Building, the tallest building in Europe at the time of its construction in 1911, before arriving at Albert Dock.

Brimming with museums, galleries, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants, the Dock was transformed in the 1980s but still retains the largest collection of Grade l listed buildings in the country.

The award-winning Beatles Story is the largest visitor attraction dedicated to the lives and times of the ‘Fab Four’. Hear the story of how the four young ‘Scousers’ rocketed to fame and fortune from their humble roots growing up on Merseyside. At 2pm, step aboard the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ for a fascinating journey through the streets of the city that inspired some of the band’s most memorable songs, including ‘Penny Lane’ and ‘Strawberry Field’.

The 2-hour tour finishes at the legendary Cavern Club, where the resident musicians will no doubt be playing some familiar tunes. Your train back to London doesn’t leave until 6:47pm, so there’s still plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere before returning to your original departure point.

Head to Euston Station for your 2.5-hour train journey to Oxenholme. On arrival you will be met by a local guide and hop aboard a minibus.

Head to Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's 17th-century farmhouse, which retains much of its original character and is crammed with references to her life and stories. Bought in 1905 with proceeds from her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, the author used the farmhouse and its surroundings as a source of inspiration for her work.

The next stop on the tour is the medieval village of Hawkshead. The area is acknowledged by many as the prettiest village in the Lake District, characterized by its cluster of whitewashed houses and alleyways, cobbled streets, squares, and courtyards of the car-free village center.

Next it's time to enjoy the majestic mountain views and beautiful countryside from Tarn Hows, before a scenic cruise on Windermere, the largest lake in England.

The afternoon finishes with a cream tea at Lindeth Howe Country Hotel, bought by Beatrix Potter for her mother in 1915. You'll be dropped off at Oxenholme Station in plenty of time to catch your 6:30 p.m return train to London.

The morning begins with a private tour of Hampton Court before it opens to the public. The most famous prehistoric monument in the world. Stonehenge stands alone in the vast empty tract of Salisbury plain. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years. Who were the people who carried and carved these 40 ton rocks? Come and unlock the secrets for yourself. Then you will have time to enjoy a picnic style lunch at the new Visitors Centre restaurant.

Finally head for the Georgian city of Bath. Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our scenic drive into the heart of the city and a short walking tour with your guide, there is free time to explore. Perhaps visit the Roman Baths that were built nearly 2,000 years ago, visit Bath Abbey or simply treat yourself to an afternoon tea in one of the many quaint tea houses.

Meet your guide at 6am in London's St Pancras Station and hop aboard a high-speed train to Paris. Relax and watch the scenery fly by your window during the approximately 2 hour journey. Once you arrive in Paris, explore on a 1.5-hour panoramic city tour, visiting major sites like the Opera House, Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Moulin Rouge, Le Louvre, and more.

Arrive by the pier, next to the Eiffel Tower, for a 1-hour river cruise along the Seine. Enjoy the views of Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, Grand Palais, Statue de la Liberté, and the Assemblée Nationale. In the early afternoon, spend some free time visiting sights on your own. Your guide will give tips on what to see and do as you venture out on your own.

You might head to the shopping district or soak up the atmosphere with a lunch (own expense). Later, return to Gare du Nord 45 minutes prior to the train's scheduled departure time for your return journey to London. Your train departs at around 7pm, and will arrive back in London at about 8:30pm.

Start your day trip from central London and travel to Burford in the Cotswolds, where the town’s magnificent high street features every variety of Cotswold stone. You'll have time to visit the town's small tea houses before continuing to Bibury for a short walking tour around the village.

Lunch beckons and what better way to satisfy your hunger than with a fabulous 2-course lunch in the heart of the Cotswolds? The hotel restaurant boasts a spectacular oak-beamed ceiling and a huge stone fireplace bearing supposed witches' marks, and serves a fabulous range of traditional food, including classic bread and butter pudding for dessert.

Continue to Bourton-on-the-Water in the afternoon, and stretch your legs during a brief 1-hour break. Then, journey onward to your final stop at lovely Stow-on-the-Wold. Use your free time in the village to explore at leisure and scout out the charming cafes, souvenir shops and photo-worthy limestone houses that line the streets.

Leave Stow-on-the-Wold in the late afternoon, and travel back to Victoria in central London where your tour finishes.

After a pickup from Victoria Coach Station, travel by coach to Stratford-upon-Avon to visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare: one of the greatest writers in the English language. Take a private tour of Shakespeare's Schoolroom before it opens to the public, and enjoy a school lesson included with your tour. Continue from Stratford-upon-Avon to Warwick, home to Warwick Castle. With a history dating back over 1,000 years, the castle will take you to an era of banquets, battles and royal splendor. After entering, your guide will leave you to explore independently. Listen to an introduction to the historical site from Warwick Castle’s history team, and then explore the site at leisure. See the waxwork displays from Madame Tussauds that are showcased at the castle, and see and hear of the Earl of Warwick's preparations for battle. Then, perhaps take a look at the ghostly dungeons where prisoners were tortured.

Then travel to Oxford, a city that boasts one of the world's greatest and oldest universities as well as some of the finest architecture in Europe. See it all on a walking tour, and learn all about the colleges themselves, with their ivy-clad stone walls that protect the beautiful chapels, halls and libraries.

Then, simply meet your guide back on board your coach to travel back to central London.

After your tour, enjoy a little free time to wander the cobbled streets and peruse the shops at your leisure.

Head north from Bath through the heart of the Cotswolds, widely thought of as one of the most beautiful stretches of countryside in England. Arrive in the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare and home to the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company. At the end of your time in Stratford-Upon-Avon, hop back in your coach for the return journey to London, where your tour will conclude.

Re-board the coach for a coastal drive to the White Cliffs of Dover, a chalky cliff face that lines part of the English Channel. As you’ll learn, these cliffs are symbolic throughout Britain, as they were the entry point for past war invasions and formed the first sight of England for travelers coming from Continental Europe.

Drive up and over the cliffs to Canterbury. Here you’ll visit Canterbury Cathedral, one of the most important Christian churches in the world and today a UNESCO World Heritage site. Immortalized by Geoffrey Chaucer in The Canterbury Tales, this striking Gothic church is nearly 1,700 years old!

Day 1: London – Oxford – Cotswolds

Day 2: Burton-on-the-Water - Bath
Be picked-up from your hotel at approximately 9:30am. The first town on the itinerary is Burton-on-the-Water, probably the most visited town of the Cotswolds region. Situated on the clear water of the River Windrush with three lovely bridges, it is home to a bird sanctuary and other tourist attractions. Certainly the most “commercial” of the towns you will visit in the Cotswolds, it is best viewed in the morning, before the arrival of the crowds on the numerous coach tours.

Moving away from the potential crowds, cruise on over to Bibury via the ancient Roman road linking South West Britain with Lincoln in the east, the Fosse Way. Hailed as the most beautiful village by William Morris, Bibury remains a very picturesque village with a trout farm on the River Colne. Travel through the Rissingtons, yet another pretty village with several lovely manor houses.

On then to the main town of the Cotswolds, Cirencester, known as Corinium in Roman times, with its Gothic church and Roman museum. As an important Roman town, it had an amphitheater, the site of which can still be seen today.

Travelling then to Tetbury you unexpectantly pass the source of the River Thames. Tetbury is an old “wool town” with many beautiful historic buildings. The Market House, built in 1667, dominates the center of the town and is where traders bought and sold their wool.

Through the most historic town of Malmesbury your next stop is Lacock. Visit the abbey, the internal courtyard of the cloisters of which were used to shoot scenes for the Harry Potter movies.

After a stop at Castle Combe, one of the prettiest villages in England, is Bath. Take a tour of this splendid Georgian city, steeped in Roman history. After a very memorable two days, you will be dropped off at your London hotel or railway station in the Cotswolds.

The tour will start at 8:45am with collection from your London accommodation to start your 1-hour journey southeast. Throughout the day your guide will tell you all about the history and legends of each site visited. They will also entertain you with stories and legends of the United Kingdom's life and culture as you drive through the country.

The tour will visit Rochester Castle and Cathedral first, for 1 to 2-hours. Your guide will walk you around and tell you all about the castle and cathedral's rich past and help take great photos. The guide will also give you a fully-guided walk around the town of Rochester, again showing many of its famous buildings, landmarks, and waterways. They will also entertain you with history's stories and legends, as well as life and culture in the UK as you drive through the countryside on the way to the stunning village of Burford. Stroll around the town with your guide for about 45-minutes as they point out its old and stunning buildings.

Spend about 30 minutes at the site and again your guide take you for a walk around and tell you all the history and legends. Your guide has special knowledge of one of the best places to take a truly wonderful photo that you will love.

The final stop will be an hour's drive away, and it will be the giant Stone Age circle of Avebury. This is also a free site to visit, so not ticket is required for entry. You will spend between 1.5 to 2 hours at this site. You'll be able to walk inside the stone circle itself, you can touch the stones, and you will even be able to walk on top of the henge if your included for a view that will surely take your breath away.  This is a big change to Stonehenge where travelers are restricted and provides you with an entirely view of stone circles. The guide will again stay with you and walk you around the stones telling you all its stories linked with this site and past history.

Afterwards, and before making the trip back to London, your driver/guide will make an extra stop at a surprise location.  The drive back to London will take around 2 hours, depending on the local traffic, with the tour ending at approximately 7:30pm.

Leave London Victoria by coach, and travel west out of the city to the Salisbury Plains. Your day’s first destination is Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed stone circle that resonates with intrigue. Believed to be around 5,000 years old, the ancient monument was built from rare Welsh stone at a time when transporting such cumbersome material would have been near impossible.

Your tour will begin with pickup in central London by a luxury, air-conditioned mini-bus (with Wi-Fi). Your small group will then begin its journey to the Royal town of Windsor and Windsor Castle. Escape the hustle and bustle of London and explore the highlights of South West England. Step back in time with your guide as you wander historic Canterbury. With your small group (no larger than 16 people), you'll see parts of the famous cathedral dating back to the 6th century. Over lunchtime you can enjoy stunning views from the White Cliffs of Dover or enjoy one of other attractions Dover has to offer. Your day concludes at the enchanting Leeds Castle; perched on two islands in a lake.

After exploring below ground, head back into the daylight to continue your journey around central London. Climb the 31-step staircase inside the Monument to the Great Fire of London (or simply, ‘the Monument,’ as Londoners know it) and then head to the City of London for an incredible view of the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Marvel at Westminster’s skyline from the top of a tower inside Westminster Cathedral (extra charge) and see top London attractions like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament from this panoramic vantage point. Your tour also includes a tantalizing sight of the River Thames as you cross above it by the new Thames Cable Car (extra charge) that connects London’s Royal Docks to the Royal Borough of Greenwich, on the south side of the river. On day 2 you will have the choice of a free day in Edinburgh or join the optional excursion to Loch Ness & the Scottish Highlands (£44 extra, pay on the day). On day 3 a free day in Edinburgh for some final sightseeing and shopping. See the traditional Scottish shops on the Royal Mile, or take a stroll in the more modern Princes Street. You will be collected by coach from the city center accommodation shortly after lunch and transferred to the train station for the journey back to London. Arrival time back into London is scheduled for 8:30pm

After a pick up 7:30am pick up from a central location, travel just a short time from London city life and watch as the scenery changes to stunning countryside, streams and honey-colored cottages. The tour will drive through beautiful villages until arriving at Burford, the elegant market town known as the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds'. Here you will take a guided walk to the 900 year old church of St John the Baptist and see unique woolsack tombs and historic memorials.

After some free time you will depart and drive over to Bibury "the prettiest village in England" according to the art critic and writer William Morris. You can walk along the picturesque Arlington Row, one of the most photographed group of cottages in the country dating back to the 17th century, alongside clear trout filled streams and the village green. A single track country lane will take you up further up the Coln Valley and onto the 2,000 year old Roman Fosse Way. Along this delightful secluded valley the tour will make a stop at the ancient stone church at Coln St Dennis, then onwards to Bourton-on-the-Water, the 'Little Venice of the Cotswolds' with its stream running through the center of the village and a series of stone bridges. Picture postcard houses nestle either side of the River Windrush as the tour follows the narrow lanes up to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. This attractive market town was the center of the wool trade in the area when up to 20,000 sheep would be bought and sold at the annual fairs! It is the highest of the Cotswolds towns standing on the 800 feet high Stow Hill. there will be time to explore the wide town market square and the views from the hilltop before our traditional lunch at one of the oldest inns in the country.

You will then continue the guided tour down to Woodstock and the magnificent Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. This stately home was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh and built between 1704 and 1722 for Sir John Churchill as a reward for defeating the French in the Wars of Spanish Succession. Beautiful landscaped grounds designed by Lancelot Capability Brown surround the Palace. Explore the opulent interior, see the room where Sir Winston Churchill was born and marvel at the great dinning hall and library. A wonderful way to end the day before our return to London.

On the return to London your driver will drop you at Victoria Train Station in the city center. This is one of the largest transport stations in London, with excellent connections to all parts of London and beyond.

Leave your central London hotel by luxury coach and relax on the journey west, passing through London’s busy urban metropolis and into the peaceful Wiltshire countryside. While traveling, your tour manager will give you some insights into Wiltshire’s most intriguing relic – Stonehenge – and explain a few of the theories about the building of this Megalithic stone circle.

Leave your central London hotel or Heathrow Airport by luxury coach and relax on the journey south, passing through London’s busy urban streets and into the tranquil Kent countryside – an area known as the Garden of England. While traveling, your host will talk to you about your destination -- beautiful Dover Castle! Built in the 12th century, the castle was known as the ‘lock and key to England’ due to its strategic location, wedged in the countryside between the capital and the coast.

After traveling for roughly two hours, arrive at Dover Castle and spend roughly about two hours exploring this incredible site independently (own expense). Highlights include the opulently furnished Great Tower, where members of King Henry VII’s royal court would meet, and the Secret Wartime Tunnels that were used in wars dating back to Napoleonic times. Perhaps soak up Dover Castle’s medieval grandeur on a walk around its immaculately kept gardens, or simply relax at the on-site café before returning to your coach.

Having explored Dover Castle independently, continue to Dover Port. Your host will drop you off outside the Dover cruise terminal in time for your cruise.

Make your own way to the meeting point in central London, then board a comfortable mini-coach for a scenic 100-mile (161-kilometer) drive to your first destination, Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of England’s greatest playwright, William Shakespeare.

Your guide shares informative commentary as you stop at the places in Stratford-upon-Avon that are relevant to Shakespeare's life, including Shakespeare’s Birthplace— the 16th-century house where he was born and lived until he was a young man; Holy Trinity Church—where he was baptized and buried; and his school.

After exploring the bard’s home town, stop briefly in Shottery for a photo op of the thatched-roof cottage of Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare’s wife. Then continue south to reach the Cotswolds, a beautiful region that became prosperous in the Middle Ages due to the wool trade.

From here, you will set off to the heart of rural Oxfordshire where several villages have been used in the world of Downton Abbey. You will see ‘Kirbymoorside’, where Anna’s bus splashes through the stream outside the pub where Bates worked when he left Downton Abbey. There will be a short stop at the church that Matthew and Edith visit in series 1 (episode 3) and you’ll pass the pub where Branson and Lady Sybil stay when they elope in series 2.

Most notably, you will visit Downton Village where you will get a guided tour of the village and see familiar sites such as exteriors of Downton hospital, the village pub, the former home of Matthew Crawley and the local church, amongst others. Part 2: Lunch at Dervals hotel, The Bladen Safe House and the milkman scene
The next destination will be a charming town in the Chilterns to visit the 18th century coaching inn, which stood in for the hotel where Major Derval stays in Thunderball; a stop will be taken here for lunch. Following a hearty lunch fit for a secret agent, you will get a chance to visit the picturesque 12th century house in the Chiltern hills of Oxfordshire featured as The Bladen Safe House in The Living Daylights, the secret location from where Koskov is abducted by Necros.  In a country lane close by, you also get the chance to track down the exact spot where Necros covertly eliminates the milkman.

Part 3: Goldfingers golf club, a photo-stop outside Pinewood Studios and Bonds London home
The finale of the day tour is the setting for one of the all-time classic on-screen confrontations between Bond and his nemesis, Auric Goldfinger. Here you will enjoy afternoon tea, get a tour of the clubhouse and see the famous 18th hole where Goldfinger concedes to Bond. After this, you will be able to pay your respects at the location used as the resting place for Teresa Di Vicenzo/Tracy Bond in For Your Eyes Only. There will be a short photo-stop outside Pinewood Studios, the leading destination for film makers and where the Bond films have been made since Dr No in 1962. From here, you head back to London, leaving just enough time to drop by the West London location used as Bonds apartment in SPECTRE.

You take a short working break for refreshments (own expense) and to review progress. Then make your way to Chinatown, your expert photographer guides you to the best view points to photograph the colourful landscape of Chinatown. Marvel at colorful shop fronts full of exotic foods and delicacies. Be amazed by stalls crammed with colorful novelties and lanterns. You take your time to photograph the rich and authentic colors of Chinatown before making your way to Covent Garden. Explore the architecture of the Royal Opera House, quirky side streets and street entertainers before making your way to the extraordinary and colorful Neal’s Yard. At all times your personal photographer is there to guide and help you take outstanding photographs.

After our London pickups begin our journey to the Ferry port in Dover for our crossing at 7:35am. Our first stop is Ypres where you will have plenty of free-time to explore the famous town with historic connections to World War 1. You may want to visit the famous Flanders Battlefield or the many cemeteries within the town such as the Spanbroekmolen British Cemetery. Or perhaps the Market Square may interest you with its mixed array of upmarket restaurants, chocolate stores, beer houses, fashion shops and plenty more.

At approximately 1:30pm we will travel to Ostend and check in to our hotel. The rest of the afternoon and evening is free for you to discover the seaside town. You may enjoy visiting the many museums such as the Atlantic Wall Museum or perhaps you would prefer the town center and its large fish market. Whatever you chose, there is definitely plenty to do in this beautiful town!

On the second day we take a short journey to the magnificent medieval city of Brugge. Often referred to as the ‘Venice of the North’ Brugge is packed with historic buildings and plenty of things to do. Why not take a boat ride along the canal or maybe visit the Historic center or shop at the market. You may also want to get some last minute photos by climbing the 366 steps to the top of the Belfry in the city center and enjoy a panoramic view of Brugge. We will then depart late afternoon to return to London at approximately 11:30pm.

After the central London pickups we begin our journey to Cambridge. Upon arrival you will be given a guided sightseeing tour by your tour manager who will be able to provide you with loads of information and facts about the University City. You will also be given entrance into the Tower of Saint Mary the Great. The tower provides the best panoramic view over the city skyline offering views of the King’s College to the south, Senate House to the east as well as the busy Cambridge Market.

The remainder of the day is left to you to explore. With plenty of things for you to do in Cambridge, we are sure your day will be packed full of exciting activities! Why not visit the popular art and antiquities museum Fitzwilliam Museum (entrance is free) or perhaps visit one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centers, The University of Cambridge. The university’s reputation for outstanding academic achievement is known world-wide and all of the College chapels are open to the public at select times, and most of the Colleges are also open for visits (a small fee may be charged for visitors and access may be limited during term time). You may also be keen to visit the University’s Botanic where you can discover plants from all over the world in 40 acres of beautiful gardens and glasshouses (admission not included).

After a fun day discovering all that Cambridge has to offer your coach will depart from Cambridge at roughly 4pm (your Tour Manager will inform you of when you need to be back at the coach) and head back to central London with the approximate arrival time of 6pm.

This tour takes you to the capital city of Wales, Cardiff for a full day of exploring. This trip includes a sightseeing tour with a local guide, entrance to the impressive Caerphilly Castle, luxury return coach travel, and an accompanying tour manager. This a perfect way of visiting another country without the need of a visa or passport.

After your central London pickup, you will depart for Cardiff, Wales. You will be given a 45-minute break at the services on the way. You will be joined by a Welsh guide, then arrive in Cardiff, you will be taken on a city tour. The guide will point out a few of the major attractions and sites such as Cardiff Castle and the National Museum. At around 1:30pm, once the tour has finished, enjoy an hour of free time to take a look around Cardiff and perhaps grab some lunch. There are many restaurants and cafés along the Cardiff Bay with wonderful views.

At approximately 2:30pm, depart from the city center to Caerphilly Castle (Cardiff Castle on some dates). The castle was constructed by Gilbert de Clare in the 13th century and occupies around 30 acres of land making it the second largest castle in Britain. Upon your arrival, you will be taken on a walking tour and then enjoy free time to explore the medieval construction yourself.

Around 4pm, you will start our return journey back to London. You will have a 30-minute break at the services on route back to the drop off point. Arrive back in central London at about 8:30pm.

After meeting your tour manager in Euston Station, you will depart by train at approximately 8am to Edinburgh’s Waverley Station via Virgin Trains. Upon arrival to the city, meet your local guide and begin a sightseeing tour of the capital. They will be able point out all of the popular attractions you can visit during your stay, such as The National Museum of Scotland or The Royal Museum (admission is free).

Once the tour is over, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. However, you may enjoy taking our extra excursion and join us for a Ghosts and Ghouls Walking Tour. In this tour you will be taken to the Edinburgh Vaults under South Bridge in the Old Town, which is reported to be one of the most haunted sites in the UK. The tour is available in a number of different languages and is around one hour long (not included).

Begin your second day in Edinburgh roaming the city. Or take part in a day trip to Loch Ness (extra charges apply - please note this is a full-day tour from approximately 8am to 2pm). Start by visiting the town of Stirling, where you will have time to visit the famous Castle and admire the beautiful view from the esplanade. Make your way to Loch Katrine. Here you can take a cruise on the loch, have lunch by the water’s edge, or take a short bike ride to see the beautiful surrounding. Travel through Trossachs, where you will stop for photos before arriving at Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queens of Scots. Then return to Edinburgh via the Forth Bridges with photo stops.

On the final day in Edinburgh, you will have a free morning to explore the city one last time. At approximately 11:30am you will meet your tour manager at the hotel for the transfer to the station to catch the 12:51pm train back to London. Arrive back at Euston Station at approx 6:39pm.

After you are picked up in central London, depart for Glastonbury, passing through England's smallest Cathedral city of Wells. You will arrive in Glastonbury around 12pm. You will have access to Glastonbury Abbey, and afterwards take advantage of some free time to explore Glastonbury and discover all about the legend of King Arthur and the famous Glastonbury Thorn. View the remains of St Michael’s church on top of the Tor, destroyed by a medieval earthquake.

At around 2:30pm, depart for Cheddar Gorge, named as the second greatest natural wonder in Britain. Upon arrival, you will be given free time to explore the village, gorge, and caves. Perhaps you could visit the famous Gough's Cave, which contains the Cheddar Yeo, the largest underground river system in Britain (admission not included).

At approximately 4:30pm, leave Cheddar for your return journey to London. As you travel on through the famous Cheddar Gorge, keep a lookout for the wild goats clinging to the cliffs. At approximately 7.45pm we will arrive back in London.

After our central London pickups, we depart for Dover for our ferry crossing. Upon arrival we continue our journey through France, Belgium and the Netherlands and should arrive at our hotel at approximately 5pm. A 2 course meal will be served to the group as well as a 2 hour free bar which includes beer, wine, Dutch gin and brandy! Soft drinks are also available. The evening is then left to your own leisure. If you cannot wait to get to Amsterdam for a night out then buses regularly pick up from a stop only a short walk from our hotel.

On our second day in Holland, after breakfast in the hotel, we will head to a traditional Clog and Cheese factory. Here you will watch some traditional clogs being made from scratch as well as find out the history from the factory workers. You will also be able to try on and purchase some clogs as well as tasting some traditional Dutch cheese. After the factory, we will head to Amsterdam for a guided tour. Your tour manager will be sure to point out all of the great places to visit during your stay such as The Amsterdam Museum which maps the last eight centuries of urban evolution, the famous flower markets to pick up some traditional Tulips and the Amsterdam’s Canal Belt. The rest of your day is left for you to roam the city. You may enjoy hiring a bike to discover all that the city has to offer or perhaps to take an hour long canal boat cruise. If so, then please speak to your tour manager for details (not included in price). At around 6:30pm, you will meet the coach and return back to the hotel for an evening meal and 2 hour free bar again.

On our final day of the trip, after breakfast at the hotel, we begin the journey south to Belgium where we stop off in the medieval city of Brugge. At approximately 12:30pm we will arrive at Brugge where you will free time to discover the fantastic town famous for its architecture and chocolate. You may want to get some last minute photos by climbing the 366 steps to the top of the Belfry in the city centre and enjoy a panoramic view of Brugge. We then depart to Calais for our 8pm ferry crossing to Dover. Our approximate arrival time back into central London is 11:30pm.

After the central London pickups, we will depart for Stonehenge. Upon arrival, you will be given special access to the Stone circle when the site is closed to the public. The tour will last an hour and is guided by a local expert who will explain the history of the ancient site.

After the private tour head to Salisbury where entrance to the Cathedral is included. Here you will discover all there is to know about the Anglican cathedral which is the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom at 404 ft. The remainder of the afternoon is left to your leisure to explore the local town. Your tour manager will be sure to make sure you visit all of the important sites of Salisbury. Then depart and return to central London. Arrival time back into London varies according to date selected.

After our central London pickups we head off to Wiltshire, where our first stop will be the medieval village of Avebury. Avebury is ringed by the largest stone circle in the world and the product of Neolithic man. You will have free time to explore this picturesque and historic area.

The group will then walk up the hillside to West Kennet Long Barrow, a 5000 year old Neolithic burial tomb. You will be taken to the burial site and given lots of information about it history by your tour manger.

Then depart for Stonehenge where you will be given special access to the Stone Circle when the site is closed to the general public. The tour will last an hour and is guided by a local expert who will explain the history of the ancient site. After our special access tour of Stonehenge we head back to London.

After our central London pickups we make our way to the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford- Upon- Avon. Here you are given access to his home (entry included) and are taken back in time to discover how he lived his childhood as well as the early years of his married life with Anne Hathaway. Millions of Shakespeare enthusiasts flock here annually to relive his life and appreciate his work. You will also be given some free time to explore Stratford where you may enjoy discovering more about Shakespeare’s life by visiting Ann Hathaway’s cottage and gardens (entrance not included) or perhaps you may enjoy shopping in Stratford with its many choices ranging from gift shops to antique shops, boutiques to bookshops and plenty more.

We then take a scenic drive through the beautiful Cotswolds villages, an area in Southern England renowned for its beauty and unspoilt honey stone-built houses, historical towns and stately homes and gardens. The coach will stop at certain point so that you can take some wonderful pictures of the scenery and surroundings.

Our last stop of the day is to the city of Oxford, otherwise known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’, where you will enjoy a walking tour with your guide who will point out many points of interest such as The Sheldonian Theatre, Balliol College and the museum of History of Science. You will again be given some free time to take a look around the city. You may wish to visit some of the points pointed out to you on your walking tour or perhaps visit the oldest university in the English-speaking world, the University of Oxford (please note: some of the colleges may be shut during certain times of the year and admission fees may apply) or maybe climb the Carfax tower for magnificent views of the city.

After a full day we will begin our journey back to central London arriving at approximately 7pm (your tour manager will give you an exact time and location to meet back at the coach).

After an early morning pickup from central London, begin your journey to Southampton where you will board the 10:00am Red Funnel Ferry to East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Arrive at approximately 12:00pm and travel to Osborne House, entrance is included. Have some free time to explore the palace, which was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. Then, continue on to Sandown and check into your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is left to your leisure to discover the seaside town.

After breakfast in the hotel the next day, meet your tour manager at approximately 9:00am for another day of sightseeing. Visit the seaside resort of Shanklin where you will be able to explore the famous Old Village before continuing on to Ventnor, another seaside town, known to be the highest point on the Isle of Wight, built on steep slopes and cliffs leading down to the sea. Then, venture to the other side of the island where you will be able to get some great photos of the isle's famous Needle, a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea. After a full day of exploring, travel to the ferry port for a 5:30pm ferry crossing back to Southampton. The expected arrival time back in London is approximately 9:00pm.

After a morning pickup from central London, begin the journey to Hampton Court palace. Situated on the River Thames, some twenty miles from London, Hampton Court is one of only two surviving palaces out of the many owned by King Henry VIII and holds a great amount of history. Upon arrival, you will be given entrance then left to explore the ground and the six acres of magnificent buildings and surrounding gardens.

After lunch (not included), depart from Hampton and head for Windsor where you will be given a guided sightseeing tour. The rest of the afternoon is then left for you to discover the royal town. You may enjoy visiting Windsor Castle (entrance not included), the longest occupied palace in Europe and is the Official Residence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. Or, perhaps you could go and see St George's Chapel, the place of worship at Windsor Castle.

Your tour manager will confirm the time you will need to meet back at the coach and you will then leave Windsor and head back to central London for an arrival time of approximately 6:00pm.

After our central London pickups, we depart for the medieval village of Avebury. Avebury was built and amended over many centuries from about 2850 BC to 2200 BC and is ringed by the largest stone circle in the world. Upon arrival, your tour manager will take you on a walking tour before leaving you for free time to explore this picturesque and historic area.

At approximately 1:30pm, the group will walk up the hillside to West Kennet Long Barrow, a 5000 year old Neolithic burial tomb. You will be taken to the burial side where your guide will take you into the burial chambers and bring its fascinating history alive.

At 3pm, we will arrive at Stonehenge where fast track entry is included. Audio guides are included and available in numerous languages which will give you an in-depth knowledge of the site. You are able to walk around at leisure and at your own pace whilst listening to the audio. You can also enjoy the new £27m visitor centre where you can even view a 5,500 year-old man and enter the Neolithic Houses to discover the tools and objects used in Neolithic life. We will depart Stonehenge and head back to central London for an expected arrival time of 7pm.

Hop aboard a morning Eurostar to Paris, where your tour manager will meet you for a coach tour of the classic Paris landmarks, museums, and sights – a perfect introduction to the City of Lights. Then, check in to your 3-star hotel, which includes breakfast, and enjoy Paris at your leisure. Explore independently on the second and third days, or take an optional boat cruise, before catching an evening Eurostar back to London.

After your central London pickup, we depart London and head for Burford. Upon arrival in the small picturesque town, you will give given free time to explore. The main street in the town slopes gently down to the river Windrush and is lined with lots of old houses and ancient cottages all of which appear to have not changed since Tudor times .There are also wonderful little side streets to explore, old pubs, tea and antique shops aplenty. You may wish to visit the town’s museum, The Tolsey, an early Tudor building which holds two rooms of exhibits which tell of the trades that once flourished, from brewing, to leatherworking (please note: The museum is open from April to October, afternoons Tuesday to Sunday).

We then will go on to visit Bourton on the Water where you will again have free time to enjoy this beautiful area and grab some lunch (own expense). Bourton-on-the-Water is a village that is know for it's quaint High Street, and the River Windrush that is crossed by several stone bridges. Bourton has been referred to as the "Venice of the Cotswolds". You may wish to visit The Dragonfly Maze during our stop, and walk round the half a mile of pathways looking out for the 14 numbered clues. Or perhaps you could visit Birdland, and see its nine acres of woodland, river and gardens. The natural setting is inhabited by over 500 birds. Flamingos, pelicans, penguins, storks, and waterfowl can be seen here as well as over 50 aviaries of parrots, falcons, pheasants and many more!

We will then depart Bourton on the Water and begin our journey back to central London. Your tour manager will be sure to point out the villages and views of the countryside during our return drive as well as the exciting history of the area. The will also make stop for photos throughout. Our approximate arrival time back into London is 18:30pm.

Meet your guide around 6am in central London’s Earls Court and begin the journey to the port to take either the Eurotunnel or a ferry to France. Travel onward through France to the UNESCO World Heritage–listed town of Brugge, in Belgium. Arrive in the heart of the city and enjoy free time to explore the medieval streets and visit the Christmas markets at your leisure.

Soak up the atmosphere among the pretty boutiques and shops — where tradespeople sell Christmas goodies such as chocolates, souvenirs, and beautiful hand-made decorations from their festive stalls. Admire landmarks like the Church of Our Lady or the Basilica of the Holy Blood, and perhaps sample some of the festive treats on offer — such as delicious gingerbread, Belgian chocolates, mulled wine, or Belgian Christmas beer. Perhaps take a spin on the open-air ice rink, or find a welcoming café for a Belgian beer or hot chocolate (own expense).

At approximately 5:30pm, begin your return journey to central London where your tour will come to an end.

Please note: times for the French and Belgian portions of the trip are in local time, which is one hour ahead of London.

After central London pickups, begin your journey to Dover to view one of the country’s most spectacular natural features, the White Cliffs of Dover. The cliffs are part of the North Downs formation and reach up to 350 feet.

Once you have taken plenty of photos of the beautiful views, start the short trip to one of the largest castles in the country Dover Castle (own expense). The castle was strategically placed at the shortest crossing point to continental Europe, and you will have plenty of time to explore the grounds and learn all about the history of the castle from the Romans to the Cold War.

Your final destination is Canterbury where you will have access to Canterbury Cathedral, Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion and cathedral of the Archbishop of Canterbury, leader of the Church of England. You will have plenty of time to explore the cathedral as well as see what the rest of Canterbury has to offer, such as St. Martin’s Church, St Augustine’s Abbey, or the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge which is an Art Museum and Library (admission is free). Whatever you find to do in Canterbury, this beautiful town will not disappoint.

After a full day in Kent, you will depart back to London with an expected arrival time of 7pm (your tour manager will provide an exact time and location to meet back at the coach).

After the central London pickups, depart for Dover to catch the 9:30am ferry crossing to Calais. Upon arrival at approximately 12pm, continue the journey to Valkenburg, Holland, where you will check in to your hotel. The rest of the day/evening is left for you to explore the town and Christmas markets. You may enjoy watching the magical light parade of beautifully decorated floats traveling through the center, or perhaps visiting Santa’s Village and enjoy a bite or eat or drink and visiting the man himself, Father Christmas, for some special photos.

On the second day of the trip, after breakfast in the hotel, you will meet the manager outside the hotel and you will begin your journey to Boppard, Germany. Upon arrival you will have some free time before boarding the Rhine Cruise and enjoying the impressive views. At approximately 12:30pm, meet the coach and travel to Aachen. Here you will be able to spend the afternoon exploring the 125+ stalls at the Christmas markets which vary in goods from original hand crafted decorations, to stylish luxury goods. Make sure you also grab some of the famous gingerbread before departing back to the hotel at around 5pm.

On the third day of the trip, after breakfast commence your return journey to London but enjoy a lunch time stop in the beautiful medieval city of Brugge. Brugge’s Christmas market setting is truly beautiful with cobbled streets, historical building and stalls filled with Christmas goodies such as chocolates and sweets. Depart Brugge for your ferry crossing at 7:30pm, expected to arrive back in to central London at around 11pm.

At approximately 6.45am on Christmas Eve (December 24) you will meet your tour manager at check-in booth 5 next to Eurostar turnstiles at St Pancras International where your tour manager will give you your Eurostar tickets. The Eurostar will depart at 08:03am and head for the Gare du Nord in Paris. At around 11:20am, you will arrive in Paris where the group will be met by a local coach. You will then be taken on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful city where your tour manager will be sure to point out the famous landmarks, museums and sites. The remainder of the day is then left to your leisure. You may wish to take an optional tour and drink champagne at a world famous cabaret! See your tour manager for details about the amazing show (dress code: smart/casual - no blue jeans, shorts, trainers or sportswear).

On Christmas Day, after a breakfast buffet at the hotel, you will have a whole day free to explore the magnificent city. At 5.30pm meet your tour manager at Anvers and embark the funicular to go to the top of Montmartre for Christmas dinner. The rest of the evening will be at your leisure to enjoy the festivities in the city.

On the third day (Boxing day) after a breakfast buffet at the hotel, you will have a whole day free to explore the magnificent city. Today is your chance to visit all of the famous attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay, Musee du Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, The Luxembourg Gardens (tickets to be arranged in advance by passengers) or to shop until you drop at all of the amazing shops the capital has to offer. You may enjoy taking an optional boat cruise! (See your tour manager for details).

On the final day, after the buffet breakfast, you will have another free day to enjoy beautiful Paris. Baggage may be left at the hotel in a secure place. This is a final chance for photo taking, shopping, present buying and visiting attractions. You will then meet your tour manager at 6pm for the transfer to the Gare du Nord to catch the the 8:13pm return Eurostar to St Pancras International. The expected time back into London is 9:36pm.

Tour departs London at 8.30am, arrive in Salisbury at approximately 10.30am. On arrival in Salisbury you’ll visit Salisbury Cathedral where entrance is included. You'll then have free time in the town to explore and for lunch.

Leave Salisbury and drive to Bath via Stonehenge, we will view Stonehenge enroute (site is closed so we cannot include a visit today).

On arrival in Bath, you’ll have free time in the Roman city, until around 5pm when we will then make our return journey to London

After our central London pickups we will begin our journey to Windsor. Upon arrival you will be given access to Windsor Castle (entrance included) where you will have plenty of time to learn all about the history of this great site. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror and has since been used by monarchs making it the longest-occupied palace in Europe. Today the castle is the Official Residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

The remainder of the morning/early afternoon can be spent exploring the town of Windsor. You may want to continue with the Royal theme and visit St George's Chapel which is the place of worship at Windsor Castle or perhaps pick up some delicious fudge at The Fudge Kitchen which is a shop full of quirky fudge charm. You can even watch it being made!

We will then begin our journey back to central London (your driver/guide will give you a time and pickup point to meet at). We should arrive back in central London at around 1:30pm.

In this special tour for Christmas Eve you’ll be visiting the town of Salisbury and the City of Bath.  You’ll also view Stonehenge, during our journey between the two popular locations.

After your central London pick up journey to the first stop in the town of Salisbury to visit of the finest examples of medieval Cathedrals in Britain. It also boasts the country’s tallest spire (entrance included) and is the home of the Magna Carta. You’ll have approximately 1.5 hours free time in Salisbury is included to explore the Cathedral and the city at your leisure.

Get back on board the coach to head to the city of Bath, via Stonehenge where you’ll have a drive-by viewing of the stone circle (the site is closed to visitors on 24th December).

On arrival in Bath, your tour manager will take the group on a short walking tour you’ll have approx. 2.5 hours free time to explore the city. Please ask your tour manager if there is somewhere specific you wish to visit who can point you in the right direction.

Depart Bath at approximately 4.30pm to 5pm. Expected arrival time back into central London is 8pm, Your tour manager will advise you of the drop off locations during the day. Please note there can be a lot of traffic traveling back into Central London so all times are approximate.

Two popular iconic destinations in one day, perfect for those short on time but wanting to fit in the fantastic cities of Oxford and Cambridge during their stay in London.

On this day tour we’ll visit Oxford, known as the ‘City of dreaming spires’. During the visit we’ll have a short walking tour of the city and then you’ll have free time to explore.

We then travel to Cambridge where you can climb St Mary’s Church Tower for fantastic panoramic views of the City (Entrance is included) you’ll then have free time to explore the city

After our London pick ups we depart for Oxford. We arrive at approximate 10am in Oxford. Upon arrival your tour manager will conduct a walking tour of the city, highlighting some of the key spots to visit. You’ll then have a couple of hours free time to explore and visit the many places Oxford has to offer.

At around 1pm, we depart Oxford for our next stop of the day, Cambridge.

On arrival in Cambridge at approximately 3pm, the tour manager will walk the group to Tower of St Mary the Great, pointing out some highlights for free time on the way, tour manager will arrange group entry to tower. Then you’ll have free time until its time to return to the coach for our journey back to London.

We then depart Cambridge for return journey to London Bridge at 6pm. We are expected to arrive back at 8pm. 

At 1am, you will meet the coach and driver Opposite Earls Court Underground Station, Warwick Road Exit - Please Wait at London Bus Stop C in Front of former/closed Exhibition Centre. (Please note, we cannot hold the coach for late running passengers)

Once all passengers are on board the coach, we will depart for Stonehenge. We are expected to arrive by approximately 2:30am and you will then have free time to explore the Summer Solstice event and watch the sunrise amongst the stones at approximately 4:52am. 

At 6:30am, we will depart Stonehenge to arrive back at Earls Court Underground Station for around 9am.

After the central London pickups we will make our way to Windsor. Here you will be given free time to explore the historic town. You may wish to visit the Official Residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, Windsor Castle (entrance not included) and the St George's Chapel which is the place of worship at the Castle. Perhaps you may want to shop on Eton High Street with its large array of independent retailers or pick up some delicious fudge at The Fudge Kitchen which is full of quirky fudge charm. You can even watch it being made!

We will then head to the most prehistoric site in the UK, Stonehenge! (entrance included). The mystery behind Stonehenge attracts millions of visitors each year and audio guides are in numerous languages will give you an in-depth knowledge of the site. You can also enjoy the new £27m visitor centre and enter the Neolithic Houses to discover the tools and objects used in Neolithic life.

Our final journey is to Salisbury where entrance to the Cathedral is included. Here you will discover all there is to know about the Anglican cathedral which is the tallest church spire in the United Kingdom at 404 ft.! The remainder of the afternoon is left to your leisure. You may want to visit the Salisbury Museum or visit the medieval halls of The Close (please note: closed on certain days).

After a full day, we depart Salisbury and head back in to central London where we will arrive at approximately 6:30pm.

After central London pickups, depart for Southampton for our 10am ferry crossing. Upon arrival to East Cowes, you will travel to the first stop, Godshill. Here you will have free time to explore the town. There is plenty to do in Godshill, from visiting the famous model village to the many quant tea rooms. The village also holds a wide range of shops offering local crafts and produce, or perhaps you may enjoy taking a short but steep climb up to the All Saints Church which overlooks the village from a hill.

Next, take a short drive to Shanklin where you will, again, have free time to discover this lovely seaside village. You could take a stroll through Shanklin Chine, a winding woodland with many rare plants, waterfalls and wildlife, or maybe go for a paddle on Shanklin Beach. Perhaps you could take a look in the unique and quirky shops in the Old Village or even take in the stunning views across the Bay from the cliff path.

After a full day in the beautiful Isle of Wight, depart for London for a 5:30pm return ferry crossing and should arrive back in central London for approximately 9pm.

After an early morning pickup from central London, begin the journey to the port to take either the Eurotunnel or a ferry to France. Arrive in France and commence your coach journey to Brugge, Belgium. The estimated time of arrival in Brugge is 1:30pm where you will have the remainder of the afternoon to explore the city.

Brugge is the capital of the Belgian province of West-Flanders with a population of 120,000 people. This large city has plenty to offer with a variety of museums to visit such as The Groeninge Museum or The Bruges Beer Museum. The city also has many historical sites to visit on your day tour such as the statue of the renowned Bruges painter Jan van Eyck (1370 – 1441) or the Rozenhoedkaai that continues to be one the most photographed spots in Bruges. You may also enjoy a panoramic view of Brugge at the top of the Belfry in the city center.

At approximately 5pm, depart from Brugge to cross back to the UK. The approximate arrival time back in to central London is 11:30pm.

Then time to enjoy a picnic style lunch at the new Visitors Centre restaurant and enjoy an in depth talk from a local guide where you can ask your own questions on the mysteries of Stonehenge.

Heading over Salisbury Plains descend into the Cathedral city of Salisbury. Famous for its Gothic Cathedral and home to England tallest spire standing at 404 feet (123 metres), entrance is included. Seize the opportunity to explore this 'Medieval Masterpiece' and the chance to view one of the 4 remaining Magna Carta books inside the Chapter House - Salisbury's copy of the world-famous legal charter is widely acknowledged as the best preserved of the four remaining documents. Don't forget to view probably the oldest working clock in existence, made of hand-wrought iron in or before 1386!

Next head to Bath, a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following a scenic drive into the heart of the city and a short walking tour with your guide, there is free time to explore. Perhaps visit the Roman Baths that were built nearly 2,000 years ago, visit Bath Abbey or simply treat yourself to an afternoon tea in one of the many quaint tea houses.  Departing Bath arrive back into London for 7:30pm.

Your tour begins with a visit to one of London’s most iconic attractions, The Tower of London. Be one of the first groups admitted on the day before proceeding to the most historic part, The White Tower. Here you will be welcomed by a White Tower warden for a talk on its unique history. Borough Market is London’s most renowned food and drink market and dates back to 1014. Both a source of British and international produce, it consists of more than 100 stalls and strands. It’s also played host to a wealth of other notable patrons including Dr. Samuel Johnson, another of England’s best-known literary figures.

The pub contains a room dedicated to The Clink Prison, a prison located nearby along the aptly named Clink Street. Pass it en route to your next stop, the Old Thameside Inn. You will also see the remains of the Palace of Winchester, one of the largest and most important buildings in medieval London.

History oozes from the great beams and ancient brickwork of the Old Thameside Inn, formerly an old spice warehouse. Once inside, enjoy three samples of local beer while learning about the brewing process and sitting in the midst of a a life-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s famous ship, The Golden Hind. At the end of your tour feel free to stay on in the Old Thameside Inn and enjoy a wide selection of ales or quality pub food, all served with a generous measure of British hospitality.

If you’re heading back toward St Paul’s Cathedral by way of the London Bridge underground stop, don’t miss the views of Southwark Cathedral along with the wide-ranging stalls of Borough Market.

Then, enjoy a scenic 1-hour cruise on the Seine River. Take photos and hear the interesting commentary as you glide by landmarks such as Notre Dame Cathedral, and drink in the riverside sights.

Paris is home to some of the finest shopping in the world. One of the leading and most exclusive department stores is Galeries Lafayette, located near the centre of Paris and a short cab ride away from the Gare du Nord station. Train back to London departs at 19:13pm local time from Gare du Nord Station.

The city provides the backdrop for all the LP covers from the first to the last; the locations for 'Hard Day's Night', 'Help' and 'Magical Mystery Tour'; even the 'Penny Lane' promotional film was largely shot in London locations.

Depending on your age, this is either a chance to wallow in glorious nostalgia, or grab an 'education' in Rock history, its legends and myths, and of course walk over that famed Abbey Road crossroads. Meet The Beefeaters, or Yeoman Warders, are the Tower of London’s official guardians! Hear the tales of the Beefeaters during your exclusive tour with one of the Tower’s working Yeoman Warders. Listen as the smartly-dressed Beefeater recounts stories about their often grisly role in keeping watch over the Tower of London’s prisoners. Luckily, this isn’t part of their job description anymore and these important people are all retired members of the Armed Forces.

Take the weight off your feet and sit down for lunch at the George, a traditional English pub built in the 14th century. On rare occasions, when the George is closed, a carefully selected alternative pub may be visited for lunch instead.

Continue to your final stop in the charming Georgian city of Bath, once home to the famous British author Jane Austen. Start the visit with a coach tour of the city, and see top Bath attractions such as Pulteney Bridge and the Royal Crescent as well as the honey-colored Georgian architecture for which the city is famed. After getting your bearings, set off on a short stroll with your guide and scout out the Roman Baths and beautiful Bath Abbey. Walk around the city’s cobbled streets, shop for souvenirs and take time to pose for photos in front of the beautiful buildings.

Visitors arriving at the site during the peak daylight hours are not permitted to have direct access to the intriguing stone circle. Continue to Bath, a UNESCO-listed city in the county of Somerset. Enjoy a tour of the Roman Baths, visit Bath Abbey, and learn some more about Jane Austen, who was born in the city. If you wish, enjoy a short walking tour to see where the legendary novelist Charles Dickens lived and worked as a young man, and sample fresh cheese from a local dairy. Alternatively, make the most of some free time to explore independently.

Evening Tour:
From London, travel first to the city of Bath to explore the Roman Baths and visit Bath Abbey, as described for the Morning Tour. Continue to Lacock for a walk around the picturesque village, and then enjoy dinner at the George pub (own expense). Last, but not least, travel to Stonehenge for your tour of the stones when the day-trippers have left the site.

At 9:00 a.m., our small-group tour takes you away from the big city of London and into the medieval town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace. Take your journey on a luxury air conditioned mini-bus, USB and Wi-Fi ready.  Next travel through the 12th to the 21st century as your walk through this market town. You’ll be able to wander quaint side streets, independent shops and the open parklands along the River Avon. If Shakespeare is your thing, you can visit his childhood home (additional cost) which offers a tantalizing glimpse into his early life.

You will continue your day in the tranquil village of Bourton on the water, aptly named the “Venice of the Cotswolds”. Here you can enjoy a riverside stroll and cross the bridges that cross the River Windrush. You will visit Christchurch College, where Harry Potter scenes were filmed and where Albert Einstein studied. On your walking tour of Oxford you will see the Bodleian library and the picture-perfect College courtyards for which Oxford is justifiably famous.

Through scenic countryside to Cambridge, bridging centuries of scholarly rivalry between these two venerable institutions! Cambridge's stately Gothic style College buildings rise spectacularly from the greenery along the River Cam where students and visitors enjoy punting along the River.

You will visit the magnificent perpendicular chapel of King's College, founded in 1441, which is the finest and grandest example of late medieval Gothic architecture in England, and a fitting tribute to the great minds that have studied here. During your walking tour of the city filled with beautiful buildings and historical quirks, you'll visit the so-called "Bridge of Sighs", named after its look-a-like in Venice and several other Colleges that make up the University, each with their own stories to tell.

Leave London on your air-conditioned coach and travel west to Windsor, the home of Windsor Castle, an official residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Extending over 13 acres (five hectares), this imposing castle houses lavish State Apartments, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and magnificent St George’s Chapel, the burial place of King Henry VIII.
On arrival, show your pre-booked ticket or pay your entrance fee (depending on the option selected), and head inside to view the State Apartments, St George’s Chapel and other highlights, all brought to life by audio guide commentary. The display of British pageantry that is the Changing of the Guard takes place in the Castle precincts on an almost daily basis, so you may catch this colorful morning ceremony if your tour takes place on one of the days it occurs and if you have purchased an entrance ticket to the Castle.
Alternatively, use your time to explore the town of Windsor and stroll around its quaint streets. You may also see the New or Old Guard of soldiers marching to the Castle if your tour coincides with a Changing of the Guard ceremony. Usually accompanied by a military band, the Guards march through central Windsor in their bright red tunics and bearskin helmets, making an impressive sight.
After around two hours in Windsor, head for Stonehenge. This UNESCO-listed stone circle rears dramatically from Salisbury Plain and is cloaked in mystery. Perhaps purchase an entrance ticket from your guide and take an audio-guided tour that delves into the stones’ spiritual importance and their associations with figures such as King Arthur and Merlin. Warwick Castle
This morning's first stop is medieval Warwick Castle. Over 1,000 years old, marvel at its amazing towers. For those that dare, there's a visit to the dungeons where prisoners were tortured. Alternatively, stroll the castle's tended gardens. At Warwick choose to either:

Once you have fully explored the city of Bath and perhaps done a spot of shopping you will meet back with the coach around 4:00 PM and return to London.

Explore the famous attractions and treasures in London. On your tour you will visit Madam Tussauds (entry included), the Millennium Wheel, the Coca Cola London Eye (entry included).
