18 The Circus ★☆☆
A flat in a Georgian townhouse right on The Circus, one of Bath's architectural wonders
You can stay in a genuine World Heritage site, a Palladian-style Georgian townhouse designed by John Wood the Elder and finished by his son, John Wood the Younger, with views over the trees in the middle of this gracious residential circus.
You get the top two floors of the house—they call it a "Maisonette"—complete with a living room, kitchen/dining room with dishwasher, and two bedrooms—a large double with lots of light and views, prifvate bath, and an extra single bed for families; and a second room with twin beds next to a family bathroom.
There is also a washer/dryer on the mezzanine, free WiFi, and a free car parking pass.
The bathrooms could use a bit of an upgrade, but otherwise there's little to complain about—and the location is superb, not just for being a significant sight in and of itself, but for being just a five-minute stroll for all the other major sights in Bath.
